Bargin Holidays

When I first had the chance to visit Kauai, I fell in love almost immediately. I knew right away that I had to try living there, at least for a year or two. The problem was that I did not have a lot of money. Most of the folks that I met out there had to work two or three jobs, and they were still barely making ends meet. I did not want to spend my life working myself to death to live in paradise! That is why I decided to go into business.

I decided to set up shop selling bargain holidays to the tourists. There was a lot of competition already, so I knew that I would have to set up a special niche. There were last minute holiday deals from many of the major carriers, offering cheap tickets, discount hotel accommodations, and even savings on car rentals. I knew that I would have to offer something special, something that separated me from all of the other people in the business. Fro a while, I had no idea. I was about to give up on my dream, in fact, when it finally hit me.

Most of the bargain holidays were targeted to a specific sector of the population. They would either sell trips to older people with money, or to young students with their parents money. They were mostly there for people who wanted to do all of the usual tourist stuff. They would give them maps to the beaches, point them in the direction of a day cruise, and give out discounts on some of the local restaurants.

If, however, I could offer bargain holidays for people who wanted a more intimate experience of the island, I could make bank. There were very few bargain holiday packages that offered tours. Mine would do this and more. I would set up a bed and breakfast, hire tour guides, and show people around some of the harder to get to parts of the island. I would even set up camping trips deep in the interior.

The idea worked out very well. Not only are my bargain holidays cheaper than the resort vacation packages, but they are more rewarding as well. Many of the people who come on my holiday trips leave knowing more about local lore than some of the locals. Then, the next year, they send their friends to me!

Find Cheap Package Holidays and Save Big

You don’t have to pay sticker price for your dream vacation if you look around for the best cheap package holidays that you can find. Don’t mistake the word cheap for bad, just think of it as a quicker way to say inexpensive. In any event, you want to save money no matter what tag is attached to any deal. When you think about where you really want to go, you know there are more expensive options, and there are ways to save. If you don’t have a lot, saving may be the only way you can go, so do what you can to find the best deal.

You may find cheap package holidays that will take you to any part of the world. However, you should know that many of them are for locations that are popular, and more obscure locations won’t have the same deals, at least in a package. You may have to put them together on your own, but you can still find some good ideas online and through travel agents. When you are going to somewhere like Sydney, Australia, London, England, or Orlando, Florida, you can usually always find great cheap package holidays of which you can take advantage.

There are some warnings when it comes to cheap package holidays, however. There are some companies that use names similar to big name chains to lure you into something that will not be what it promises. That means you run the risk of booking something that will not be what you see in the cheap package holidays offer you find. To be on the safe side, search for the exact name of the company before you buy, and look for complains or reviews to be sure the deal is what it appears to be and not something else entirely.

Once you find your cheap package holidays, and you know the deal is really a good one, you should read the fine print before making you final decision. Most of these do not really include all expenses, and that is something you need to know. That shouldn’t make or break the deal for you in many cases, but you don’t want to be caught unaware. Even if your cheap package holidays only cover the hotels and a few attractions, they are worth it if they save you money. You can always find cheap airfare on your own if the price is just too good to pass up.

Brazil Holidays - An Exciting Getaway

South America is an exciting continent to have a vacation and the most popular choice is Brazil Holidays. The biggest country in the continent contains cosmopolitan cities, golden beaches and scenic countryside. The people are friendly and the streets swing to the samba and the bossa nova bands. Many towns have colorful and spectacular carnivals.

The food is extremely varied with regional dishes and influences from many different cultures. The national dish is black beans, pork and rice and the national drink is the Caipinnha, a concoction of limes, sugar and cachacca. Pizza houses, Lebanese, Chinese and Japanese restaurants are also popular.

One of the most popular tourist destinations is the city of Rio de Janeiro, a must see on the agenda for Brazil holidays. It is an elegant city, dominated by the world famous statue of Christ the Redeemer that overlooks the city from the top of Corcovado Hill. It is also known for staging one of the best annual carnivals and for its many beaches, Copacobana being the most famous. For the best views, an aerial tramway takes passengers to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain, another iconic landmark.

Sao Paulo is another vibrant city, bursting with nightlife and entertainment. There is also plenty sightseeing during the day with a number of remarkable churches, including the Zen Temple and the Sao Paulo Municipal Cathedral. There are several museums and galleries, including the Sacred Art Museum and the Modern Art Museum. An Historical City Tour takes tourists round to see and learn about the major sights. The markets are interesting places to browse and to look for souvenirs and there is an arts and crafts market, ideal for choosing a gift for loved ones back home.

Guaruja is a favorite spot for tourists and a popular destination for surfers and divers. There are several beaches to choose from, including Pereque, which has remained traditional and old fishing villages are still maintained. The Acqua Mundo Theme Park is the largest aquarium in South America and has over 700 different animals on display. Brazil holidays are good for history lovers too and the past comes to life at sights such as the nearby Barra Grande Fortress, constructed in 1584.

The natural world can be seen at the protected National Park in Chapada dos Veadeiros, an area of beauty with waterfalls and lakes. Many endangered animals are protected here, including jaguars, rheas, Pampa Deer, anteaters and vultures. The park also contains important plant species such as orchids. UFO hunters, on Brazil holidays, gather here, as there have been a number of UFO sightings over the years.

Holidays in Australia - Great Winter Getaway

Now here is a great idea for a vacation..

I hope to visit Australia this winter, and I hope that it will not be the last time. I would like to think that I will take many holidays in Australia in my life time, but I know that this might not be something that I can do very often. However, I will go when I can as I have friends there, and it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t get to spend some time with them every few years. Besides, I think there is a lot my daughter can learn when we visit there, and I hope to take her with me when I go.

The best thing about holidays in Australia is that you can go when the weather in the US is bad, and it will be the middle of summer there. Not only that, but there are many great beaches there, and everyone is so wonderfully nice. Though I am sure there are exceptions, it would seem that a majority of those who live in Australia are easy going and fun to be around. Though you can’t always take long vacations, I want to make my holidays in Australia long because I won’t get to go very often.
Another great thing about holidays in Australia is that they are very much like the US in culture, but at the same time, things are just different enough to make it an amazing experience. They have beauty everywhere you turn around, and there are many awesome things that everyone should have a chance to see in their life time. I know there are those who have dreamed of going to a European country for as long as they can remember, but for me, I have always wanted to take holidays in Australia.

There is one downfall though. When you take holidays in Australia, you do have to be on a plane for a very long time. It takes about fourteen hours to fly to Sydney from the west coast, and I have to take a six hour flight just to get to the west coast of the US to get on a plane to Australia. I’m not really worried about myself, but I am concerned about my daughter, who will be six when we go. However, it will be worth it, and I suspect that the light might be the longest I have ever taken, or will ever take, but for great holidays in Australia, it will all be worth it.

The Fascination of The Great Wall China

This lady decribes here fascinating visit to China and The Great Wall.

My husband and I decided to save up and go on the vacation of a lifetime. We have a friend who lives and works in Japan who speaks Chinese Mandarin fluently, having studied the language at Beijing University and has also worked in Taiwan. The plan was to visit our friend in Tokyo and see a bit of Japan. Then we flew to Hong Kong to spend some time there and then onto China. Our friend went with us, which made the trip a lot more fun and much easier, having someone to interpret for us.

Beijing is a fascinating place and we did the usual sightseeing, including exploring the Forbidden Palace and Tinnamen Square. One of the striking things is the amount of cars in the city and the background noise of tooting car horns. Then came the time to board the coach to take us to the Great Wall China. We had read as much about it as we could but nothing really prepares you for it.

I was determined to walk the wall, a portion of it anyway, as it stretches over 4,000 miles! When we arrived, it was very busy, mostly with Chinese people and a few foreigners sprinkled here and there. We walked one of the most popular stages of the Great Wall China. It is divided into watchtowers, gateways and old barracks, some sections dating back to the 5th century. The longest human made construction in the world surpassed all expectations.

Remarkably our friend, who has one leg, had walked the wall before and this was his second visit. He leapt ahead of me, on his crutches and disappeared into the distance! It was the hardest thing I have ever done and I was almost at quitting point sometimes but I persevered and completed my section. The Great Wall China steps are very steep in places and it takes every ounce of energy to climb them. There are several vendors there, selling clothing, post cards and other souvenirs. I proudly bought my I Climbed the Great Wall T-shirt, which I still wear today. Experiencing the Great Wall China was truly memorable and I would recommend it to everyone. Go to the gym first and get fit first, which is what I should have done but didn't!
